A typical South – Indian breakfast, made with rava / semolina. Basically, a steamed round cake made with semolina combined with yoghurt, spices, vegetables and a leavening agent. A fermented batter with added split chickpeas for extra crunchiness and topped with roasted cashew nuts. The idli can be enjoyed by itself when hot, or with any podis/powder.
